Description:
 
The shape of powdered activated carbon has two categories: powdered and granulated. Powdered activated carbon is very fine powder, substantially can through the 200 mesh sieve, most through the 325 mesh screen, and the size of the powder is between 1 ~ 150μm (the average is about 40μm); Usually, the finer the powdered carbon , the greater the adsorption rate of its impurities. So the manufacturers usually highly crush and screening the activated carbon products to obtain the fine powder. The defect of powdered activated carbon is difficult to regenerate, and usually no longer reuse, so the consumption is large (people research it to reuse in recent years). Granular activated carbon is usually regenerated, so the consumption is low. It has two kinds of particles: granular and columnar, the particle size is between 0.5 ~ 4mm. The former is obtained by appropriate crushing and screening, the latter is formed from the feedstock pressed by a pelletizer.
Powdered activated carbon is normally produced by sawdust and through chemical activation. Granulated activated carbon usually selects coal or charcoal as raw material, pressed and formed after grinding added adhesive (such as coal tar, lignin sulfonic acid etc), retorting carbonized, and then made by activating treatment (or crushed into appropriate particles before activation).
 
 Application:
 
1. It is excellent in decolorization and refinement of sewage. 
2. It is extensively used in water purification, gas purification, foodstuffs, medicine,   environment protection, the national defense industry and other industrial fields. 
3. It is directly milled by powder from our semi-finished products and 
meeting the highest standards for quality. 
4. It is mainly used for the purification of water quality in sugar, pharmacy, beverage, alcohol, food, printing and dyeing, paper making, chemical industry, industrial wastewater and so on. 
5. It is also widely used for purification, deodorization, decolorization 
of organic solvents refining, and sewage treatment.
